It is the mission of the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce to create and
maintain an environment where business and community will prosper by:

Combining the talents of business and professional members to insure a stable and healthy
business climate in the Chamber service area.

Increasing services to members through improved communication, leadership opportunities,
and small business support.

Supporting all projects, activities and events which will contribute to the positive growth
and development of the Chamber service area.

Providing leadership on major growth, education, cultural and political issues that affect
the business community.

  • Weekly Business Connections & Networking Round Tables - Free Networking Event

A weekly networking group encompassing keynote speakers; business spotlights and testimonials. A way to link partnerships and build your business. Business Connections held every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Central Florida Zoo, 3755 NW Hwy 17-92, Sanford. A light continental breakfast is served. 

  • Business After Hours - Free Networking Event

After Hour Events are scheduled Bi-Monthly giving our members the opportunity to showcase their business. After Hours are held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. These events have 2-4 businesses promoting together to allow small businesses and home based businesses to showcase while building business relationships. 

  • SWOOPS - Sanford's Wonderful Opportunity of Promoting your Business - Free Networking Event 

SWOOPS are held Quarterly giving members the opportunity to have members SWOOP in and out during their lunch periods. SWOOPS are held from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. showcasing 3-4 businesses in the same area.

  • Member Lunch and Learn Orientations - Free Networking Event

Information Session to provide members with beneficial tips on how to make the most of their membership and what the chamber has planned for the year. Great opportunity to meet other members and network with new and existing member business.

  • Women's Connection

Women's Connection was created to encourage involvement in our community through events created to inspire, educate and connect with quarterly luncheons and after hour socials to encourage professional and personal growth. 

  • Small Business Development Clinics

Clinics encourage new business development and provide Small Business Entrepreneurs with access to seasoned business people who share important insights and offer mentoring. Knowledge is gained from their experience and provides tools and resources needed to be more successful in their endeavors. 

2014 Chamber Committees:

Chamber Committee     

Committees of the Chamber work to complete the goals of the organization. 

Ambassador Committee - Serve as the first vital link between potential and existing members of the Chamber. Provide a resource for new members to call on for guidance and information and linking members to our chamber. 

Education Committee - Promote business to education connections thru programs that recognize students and teachers; programs that include Job Shadow Days, Student-Teacher appreciation scholarships and programs to improve education and workforce. 

Special Events Committee - Special Events Committee increases the Chamber's visibility within the community by promoting community and member involvement. Events include Taste of Sanford, Job Fairs, and others. 

Economic Development Committee - Provide the interface between government and local businesses to promote growth in our local community. 

Small Business Committee - Providing Clinics to encourage new business development and provide Small Business Entrepreneurs. 

Membership Committee  - Works with staff to recruit and cultivate new members. Work to formulate and assess the membership programs needed to meet the needs expressed by members.
